Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline
Engineering and field works for the international pipeline project.
The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline is one of the region's most strategic pieces of energy infrastructure. Prokon carried out engineering, repair and modernisation works on selected segments of the line.
The project included integrity assessment of the pipeline, modernisation of pump stations and renewal of anti-corrosion protection systems. All work was planned so as to keep the pipeline in continuous operation.
Stringent international pipeline standards and environmental-protection requirements guided the execution. Field works were performed with minimal operational interruption.
The works completed increase the reliability and throughput of the pipeline and contribute to the resilience of regional energy transport.
Scope of work:
- Integrity assessment of the pipeline
- Modernisation of pump stations
- Renewal of anti-corrosion protection systems
- Welding, testing and NDT inspection
- Repair of valves and metering stations
- Cathodic protection and insulation works
- Commissioning and return to service
- HSE and environmental-protection supervision
